Welcome to Boys Scouts Troop 599, Miami FL (Kendall)
Troop 599 was founded in 1971. The meeting place and sponsoring organizations have changed over the years, but the vitality of the Troop has never waned.
The Troop is currently sponsored by Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School, located at 10300 SW 167th Avenue, Miami, FL . Troop meetings are every Thursday evening, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, in room 219.
During the meetings, the Scouts work towards advancements, merit badges, plan campouts, and participate in Troop activities. All boys are expected to report to the meetings in full Class A uniform. A Class B uniform, which consists of a Troop 599 T-shirt worn with black shorts, is required for activities during campouts and service projects.
The Troop schedule is planned by the Patrol Leader's Council (PLC). The PLC consists of each Patrol Leader, the Senior Patrol Leader, the Senior Patrol Leader-elect, the Quartermaster General, the Camping Director, the Scoutmaster, and the Scribe. The PLC meets at least once a month (normally the second Monday of the month).
Troop 599 is active in providing service to the community. Community Service Projects are planned by the PLC and are encouraged. The Scouts need the community service projects for advancements and character development. Our Troop encourages at least one service project per month.
